How do I calculate how much disk space I will need for my web sites?

An easy way of calculating the amount of disk space your web site will require is by simply selecting ALL the files and folders that you intend to upload to your site, right-clicking the mouse, and selecting "Properties". The amount of disk space used will be displayed.

This gives you a idea of your disk space requirements. Remember, however, that if you have an online database that visitors add to when they make purchases or sign up for information etc. (or even large web site statistics log files because you get lots of visitors), the disk space your site uses will increase as these files increase.

If you run out of disk space, you may receive an error message when uploading your web site and will need to contact Red Rook to discuss your upgrade options.
